* 7:00 wake up in the Dorm bed.
This is an ideal morning.
coffee (I got milled one last day in Jasper, Rocky mountain Roaster coffee ?. The HI had coffee equipments),
woods around me,
calm people,
sounds of small birds.

* Breakfast:
rice, corn, plum

* rest day

* Drive to the trail head.

A long walk on gravel road.
About 3.4 km and one hour climb at a sunny day.
We could go by car.

We had enough time to walk and stay around a small lake.
Looking into the lake and surrounding mountains I thought about my future plan.
I decided something here. Yes we need to plan the future and fix things.

I like a  large meeting and dining room.

remote from a town.
large and calm.

two big refrigerators.
eco-friendly.

Many groups are staying.

Satisified and had a relief of arrival without any trouble.

* Met agian with an Australia-Japanese couple. We saw them in a super in downtown.

SHower and rest

Hostel, shopping, check Avis.
Y went into his smartphone world.

Surprise points

* Trail/surprise points
short hiking to surprise points
stayed at a bridge for abour an hour.
No fish in the river.
This is the most wonderful view in Japser for me.
Wild and wide view of mountains, lakes, and sky.

This time reminded me camp days with my son in the past,
Hokkaido, Kagoshima, sothern islands.
But this sort of big nature can not be found in Japan.

I wonder if I can live in Canada.

There should be many beautifal places in the world.
I should go there.
In any places, there are something to be checked at the place by myself, not photo or video.
We need to get the air there.

How many forests we should pass to be an independent man, to be ourselves ?
We passed several forests and woods, but maybe not so many.

What a wonderful time !

* 730 Breakfast.
Last night's rice, chiken soup, and yogurt.

* 820 trail start from TH
the plan was start at 7:00, but...

* about 6 h and 16 km walk.
we could make it in shorter time than expected.

* Launch at a bridge.
Rice, Hum, cheese, and nuts.
beautiful, natural, and cool water below.

* Chrome lake

* 14:30 arrived at the hut.
after a short climb.
Happy time even with a instant coffee.

- There is no bath.
- water comes from the lake. filter and boil.

need to take a lot of foods.

* ムース，現れる。一匹と親子。
おお，これが野生の動物だ。
定期的に，湖に出てくる。

* 手を蜂に刺された。
こんなところで，「スズメバチ」に刺されたらどうしよう？
カナダには，スズメバチはいないかな？

* モントリオールからドライブしてきたカップル。
毎日，その日に行き先を決めているようだ。
Ice field が良かったと言っていた。

* 昼食：
ご飯，トマトスープ，ナッツバー，ビーフジャーキー。
昨日の夕食とあまり変わらない。

* 夕食：記録なし。

* ムースを探したけど，すぐには見当たらない。

* 後から，4組くらいの別のグループがやってきた。みんな二人組み。

* まだ，夕食まで時間ある。

* ムースを見つけたのは，次の日だったかも？
* 夕食:
ご飯，韓国のり，トマトスープ。
食事作りも慣れてきた。

渓谷の中にある。山々に囲まれて。

* 今日は，息子とは別に

に寝てみた。
床は，3シーズンシュラフにエアーマット。
それほど寒くなく眠れた。
結露が結構あり。
狭いので，体が痛い。
現実は，なかなか辛い。

* 曇り，晴れ

* 起きて今日の準備をしていたら，電話がなった。
今から乗っていくバス会社から。
「まだ，来ないのか」と。
バスの集合時間まで，まだ1時間以上あるのに，変だなあと思って，シャワーを浴びて。
そしたら，また電話，「いつになったら来るのか」
時間を聞いて，驚いた。
僕の腕時計より，1時間早い時間。
実は，バンクバーとJasper(アルバータ州)は時差1時間。
この時差に気づいていなかった。
8:00と思っていたら，実はもう集合時間の9:00だった。
バスが宿まで来ることに。急いで準備。
水とかなどの荷物。急いだので，食料，地図などを忘れた。
仕方ない。バスを待たせるわけにはいかないし。
時差があるとは，全く気づかなかった。Infoや宿で時計を見れば気がついていたはずだが。
海外ということで，いろいろあって，気がまわらなったかな。

ここで，10分くらい準備。前回のTrailより2倍くらい長いので，少し気を入れて。曇ってきた。

* Canadian coupleが自転車で出発した。
Trailから老カップルが戻ってきた。
「川でトレイルが閉ざされて先に行けない」と。
大丈夫だろうか，少し心配になってきた。

* トレイル，スタート。
しばらくして，曇ってきたので，レインウエアを着る。
トレイルの一部が川になっていたが，靴が濡れるだけで問題なし。

* 長いトレイル。
片道　12 km 程度。

* 幾つかの小さな湖を越えていく。湖の水は，前回のトレイルよりきれい。
蚊も，前回よりかは少ない。

* Trail headで話した自転車カップルが戻ってきた。
「ムースに会った」と興奮していた。楽しみだ。

* 最後の登り，降り，疲れた。

* 14:00　
Jacques Lakeの北側の岸のCamp siteに到着。
まだ，誰もいない。今回も我々だけかな？
