パリの夜は長い。

朝は曇りだったけど，昼間から晴れた。

Louvre

I failed to get a flight from Paris to Tokyo.
Thanks to this, I could enjoy a day in Paris.

Louvre museum is huge.

飛行機に乗り遅れた。
おかげで，ルーブル美術館を楽しめた。

Last day in Paris. A long and winding day.

この店で，お土産を選んでいた。おかげで飛行機に乗り遅れた。

ルーブル美術館の傍のドーナツ屋さん。オレンジジュースで休憩した。

ポンピドーセンターの傍。

まわりの芝生で恋人同士や家族，友達だ寝転がっていた。

スイスは、食べ物が高い。だいたい東京の二倍はする。

それほどおしゃれでもないアイスクリームが、4 CHF (400 yen)。大学の食堂の昼飯が、10 CHF (1000 yen)。スーパーで買うサンドイッチが、5 CHF (500 yen)。

物価が高いのは、経済が強いからだろうか？　労働者に対して、正しい給料を払っているからだろうか？　平均給料が高いのだろうか？
「円」が弱くなったということだろうか？　日本の安い店では、労働者の給料が安いということだろうか？　日本は長い「デフレ」ということだろうか？

マックとスターバックスはあった。「吉野家」があれば良かったな。

スイスの人口は約800万人、面積は四国程度。
国民一人あたりでは、スイスの方がお金を持っていそうだ。

The Big Mac indexでも、スイスは世界一だ。
USDに対して、スイスは、+60%
日本は、ほぼ0%。(2012/01)。

5th day in Lausanne

もうスイスに来て、5日もたった。

朝から、EPLFで仕事。Dark Matter探し。昼は大学の食堂へ。３人で。午後も1500くらいまで、仕事。わりにゆっくりとしたペースで。

帰りに、EPFLを散歩。たぶん、Rolex centerという斬新なデザインの建物の周辺で休憩。

そもそも、EPFLとは何の略だ?
フランス語で、ÉCOLE POLYTECHNIQUE FÉDÉRALE DE LAUSANNE

日本語だと、
スイス連邦工科大学ローザンヌ校。

日本のどの大学や研究所よりも、良い環境に見える。夏も涼しいし、冬もレマン湖のおかげでそれほど寒くないらしい。実際に過ごしてみないと、本当のところは分からないけど。とにかく、スイスはお金がありそうだ。

バスとMetroを使ってホテルに帰る。

EPFLの宇宙関連のポスドクのEijima-san,、Kamada-sanを夕食に誘う。

ホテルの近くの歴史のありそうなブラッサリーに行った。馬肉のステーキ、アスパラ、チーズフォンヂュを分けあう。テラスで飲む白ビールが美味しい。

二人とも僕よりだいぶ若い。若いことは良いことだ。お金が無くても時間がある。

３人分で100+ CFH。普通は、あまり奢ることはないが、今回は、僕が奢りました。理由があるけど内緒。20:00-21:00くらいまで。

21:00になっても全然暗くない。ヨーロッパの夏は、日が長く、風が心地よい。日本の蒸し暑さとは大違い。ということで、若きお二人さん、食事に付き合ってくれてありがとう。良い研究を期待しています。

I got up early and walked around the old city.
Today I left Lausanne by TGV at 830 and moved to ...
Lausanne was a beautiful city with Lac Leman in front.
I want to come back again.

I found a small house without people and I had a rest overlooking 'Le Leman' and cities, town, hills, and mountains around it. Yes swiss is one of the most beautifal contries in the world. It would be nice to stay here for a summer or winter vacation for a few weeks. Quiet, only birds and sound of wind I could listen.

I have walked at least 5 hours and about 12 km.
This was a good for one day treck.
I should have gloves and poles just in cases.
You can go Rochers De Naye by train.

Lausanne 2014 May

This is the 3rd day in Lausanne.
By going a supermarket twice I understood how to buy foods in Lausanne.
I also understood how to use Metro and tram.

3 days has past here in a city in Europe. Time went by silently and certainly.

I would be nice if I could enjoy cities and foods like Hemingway in Europe.
