長野，自転車で散歩
1000 check out
自転車レンタル、500円。
坂が多いけど。
自転車で駅前のICI 石井へ。
トレランシューズを買う。
履いてきたトレッキングシューズは、雨に濡れて、汚いし、ソールがすり減ってきた。
ので廃棄。
1100くらい、宿に戻る。
自転車を置いて、善光寺へ。
善光寺を内覧。
床下の暗い廊下がユニークだ。
善光寺の歴史。
古いお寺。
昼ごはんに「おやき」
ナス、野沢菜。
焼きたてでほかほか。
おばさんが焼いてくれた。
仲見世のお店

読谷で休憩 (6th, Jan.)
読谷の東側の海岸付近に宿泊。
朝から曇り空。
朝食は，
玄米ジュースと「ちんすこう」。
コンビニで買った。
雨は止んでいたので，自転車に乗ってゲストハウスを出る。
まだお腹が空いていた。
近くのパン屋さんでピザパンを買って，その場で食べた。
美味しい。感謝。若い人が正月から働いていた。
外の天気は雨なので，
読谷村立図書館で
雨宿り。
沖縄関連の本がたくさん，あった。
本を読んでる村民？や子供もいた。
雨が止んできたようなので，昼ごはんを求めて，
「パン屋 水円」へ。
ここは，パンも雰囲気も素晴らしい。
落ち着く。
「ヤムチンの里」で陶芸やガラス工房を見学。

宿の名前が良い。
宿のオーナーも旅好きのサーファーで，価値観が僕とあいそう。
ゲストをできるだけ自由にしてくれる。
ツインルールで普通に快適。
小さな台所，
旅関連の雑誌や書籍。
なんといっても，海まで歩いて1分。
「長浜」という海岸沿いの集落にある。
周りには，別荘のような感じの家も幾つかある。

今日は，土曜日。
自転車で八王子の北口周辺を散策。
いつも饅頭屋に行ったら，今日は休み。
土曜なのに。
その近くのパン屋さん

私は，酒は強くない。最近になってようやく，日本酒の旨さがわかるようになった。特に，「久保田」が好きだ。
日本酒は，日本の大切な文化だ。
著者の秋山氏は，醸造試験所の所長。日本酒の造り方，化学，歴史，人々の関わりについて丁寧に，自分の研究と体験に基づいて解説しています。
甘口，辛口，旨口，香りと「のどごし」，純米酒，吟醸酒，大吟醸，生酒など。
p.177，
「日本酒のメーカーは，昭和１０年代には，約7000社，今日では，2000社を割り込んでいる」今は，世界中のいろいろなお酒が売っていますからね。日本酒以外にも，ビール，ワインや焼酎を飲む人も多いです。
この本を読むと，ますます，美味しい日本酒が飲みたくなります。ゆっくりと楽しみたいです。

物語 ヴェトナムの歴史―一億人国家のダイナミズム (中公新書)
2014年の8月に，家族でハノイ，ダナンなどベトナムの中部と北部を旅行してきた。
公園で朝から体操をするおばさん，おじさんを見て感じた，ベトナムの人々は，強靭で打たれ強くエネルギッシュだと。それもそのはず，その歴史を知れば，納得できる。陸続きの中国の支配が1000年も続いた，その後は，フランス帝国主義による略奪，日本軍の侵略，そして1970年代まで続いた大国アメリカとの戦争。過酷な歴史を生き抜いてきた人々の祖先が，今のベトナム人だ。
この本で，その歴史を時間を追ってかいま見ることができた。
なお，ベトナム人の平均年齢は，20代らしい。老人社会の日本とは大違い。

Steve Jobs
Stay hungry, stay foolish.
I have listen "Steve Jobs" in audio abridged version.
I could learn something from the life of Steve Jobs.
B. Russel wrote that you can have happy life if you produce or construct something as a life-long job.
Jobs have created several techno-items, Mac, iPod, iPhone, and so on.
Most of his creations have changed the ways how people enjoy daily life over the world.
He loves to innovate things and change people's life. Therefore his own life should be very happy.
He understand how people love iPhone commonly over the world.
He loves his products more than he loves other people especially in his early days.
This makes his life not perfect. But nobody can have a perfect happiness.
He strongly influenced many people, especially for their adventurous up-and-down lifes.
He also influenced me in some sense.
He loves simplicity, beauty, and totality. I also love these qualities.
There are not so many genius. He is one of tech geniuses of our age, along with Bill Gates, Google founders, and Facebook founder.
Which do you like among big IT companies ?
I like Apple, Google, and Amazon, rather than Micro Soft or Facebook.
All of these are founded in US, which means US has been strong in IT.
Maybe Mr. Son of SoftBank can be compared with them in Japan.
Then how can we enjoy life like Steve Jobs ?
First we may need to 'stay hungry and fool'.
Then we find intellectual fellows, start-up a company and innovate something new.
Surely we need a good fortune.
Maybe US provides environment exclusively better than any countries for this kind of big dream.
His life also tell that even one of the richest man on earth can not remove diseases and avoid decease. Life is not long.
He said he like to produce good products rather than get profits.
To make good ones, he believe that all hardwares and softwares are designed and controlled by Apple.
He tried to make Apple keep dominating techno-production even after his death.
As of 2014, Apple still keeps great. But nobody knows what will happen in 10 years.
I think it is difficult to keep current shares without a genius in Apple.
Apple may merge or be merged by other big companies like IBM, HP, Sharp, or some Chinese giants.
I like Gate rather than Jobs in person.
Because Gate with his wife have gave the world a lot of his money for better lives of many poor and young people and he tries to inform the world about health problems world wide.
Compared with him, Steve looks like not interested in lives of poor countries.

Alain, Propos Sur Le Bonheur, 1928
One of my best 5 books.
I do not know a book more beautiful than this.
僕がこれまで読んだ本の中で間違いなくベスト５に入ります。
日々の生活を楽しくものにするための、心も持ち方についてのヒント、知恵がどのページにも含まれています。とても簡明な文で書かれているのにとても新鮮。
アランは、人間観察の天才です。解説によると誰かが「この世でもっとも美しい本」と呼んだらしいです。私も賛成です。この本より美しい本を知りません。
僕は３０台中盤になって読みました。この本を１０代で読んでいたら、また違った読み方になって、その後の僕の生き方も違ったものになったと思います。いずれにしても、アラン、訳者の神谷幹夫さん、出版社に感謝します。
印象に残った文を少し挙げます。
p.98 「人はみな，己の欲するものを得る」
「望んでいるものは何でも、人を待っている山のようなもので、取り逃がすこともない。しかし、よじ登らなければならない。」
「どんな小さな努力でも、それをすることで、無限の結果が生まれてくる。」
「悲しみとはけっして高貴なものでもなければ、美しいものでも有益なものでもないと考えることから始めよう。」

Viktor E. Frankl, M.D., Ph.D 夜と霧 新版
人間とは何か。自分の死を目の前にしてどう行動するか。人間と他の動物の違い何か。まともな人間とそうでない人間の違いは。生きる意味とは何か。人を愛するとはどういうことか。過酷な運命にどう対峙するか。人は誰でもいつか死ぬ。その死に方は千差万別だ。どれだけお金を稼いだとか，どれだけ美味しいものを食べたかとは，どうでも良い。他人に対してどう行動したか，人を心から愛したか，自分の死を恐れず，潔く死ぬ事ができたか。将来の人類の精神的な糧となる何かを残すことができたか。これらが，「どう生きるか」に通じるのではないだろうか。
中学校の卒業論文に，ある先生に，
「何を失うとも勇気を失う事なかれ」
と書いてもらったことを思い出した。
勇気にはいろいろな種類がある。勇気はどんな時に必要か。何があっても生き続ける，体が弱っても自分の心を平静に保つ，自分と他人の命を守る。新しいことに挑戦する。自分より強そうな人に立ち向かう。社会の中で批判されても自分の信念を曲げない。自分より弱い人を助ける。このような時に人の勇気，すなわち本当の強さが試される。「人間としての強さ」が勇気だろうか。
この本を読んで，少しだけ精神的に強くなった気がする。普通に働き，生きている事がなんと自由で幸せなことか，命の尊さが思い出される。
ヒットラーとナチスによる大量虐殺，人類の歴史の中でなんども繰り返される虐殺。21世紀の今日でも，世界のどこかで弱い人が虐げられ，殺される。このような愚かな行為はいつまで続くのか，どうしたら止めることができるのか。虐殺に対して戦っている人を応援しよう。

「苦悩と，そして死があってこそ，人間という存在ははじめて完全なものになる。」

僕の好みに合っている。決して大衆とは一致しない好み。
春先の山スキー，楽しそう。
こんなふうに人生を楽しみたい。
山登り，スキー，魚釣り，絵を描く，文を書く。
それ以外の時は何をしているのだろう。
どうやったら辻まことのように生きられるだろう？
世俗の欲を捨てる，孤独に耐える。本当に好きなこと以外は諦める。
海の好きな人は，母を愛している。
山の好きな人は，父を愛している。

中国は広い。その面積は，日本の25倍。人口も10億人以上。古代の昔から複数の民族が領土を奪い合い，他民族を支配してきた。この中国全土を統一して政治を行うことのなんと難しいことか。人間の歴史を知るには，中国の統一を押さえたい。
中国を最初に統一したの，紀元前221年の「秦」。これは，わずか15年で「漢」に滅ぼされる。劉邦によって立てられた王朝は，一度，低能な外戚によって途絶えた。その外戚を破り，全土を再度統一したのが，劉秀。建武元年に光武帝となった。この本は，彼の留学時代からその死までを描く。
何を持って中国を統一したか。圧倒的に不利な戦をどうやって逆転するか。数千の勢力で，百万の相手とどう戦うか。人とはなんであるか(上p.179)。徳の中に人を殺すことが含まれるか。漢民族とは。これらを読み解くのがこの本の面白さだ。
「知る事がむずかしいのではない。実行することが難しい」上p.132。
