kayak day-5

* 9:00 start kayak

* 14:00 arrived at the goal.
Pipiriki.

about 22 km, today.

* I made the 145 km river journey from Taumarunui to Pipiriki for 5 days.

Kayak day-4

* 7:00 wake up.

* 8:45 kayak start from Mangapurua Campsite.

* 10:15 landed on Tieke Kainga

I arrived here before any other people landed.

* A wide area of hut and camp.
Hut manager, Mat, and two ground sons.

* A welcome ceremony.
Along with other two men I song a song in front of guests on the ground.
Nice feeling.

Kayak day-3

* 7:00 wake up
* 9:15 start
from Mangapapa Campsite

* Missed two camp sites.
John Coull Hut and Mangawaiiti Campsite.
I planed to camp at Mangawaiiti Campsite.
But I could not spot these two sites along the river.
Maybe I could looked into the other site.

* 18:00 landed on
Mangapurua Campsite.
Only one couple was at the camp site.

* Dinner. Ramen, apple, and Salami.

* A bad and unlucky last day of 2018.

Kayak day-2

* 7:00 wake up
* 9:15 start kayak
from Poukaria

* 12:00 landed on Whakahoro Campsite

* 13:15 walk to a cafe
Blue Duck cafe

Lunch here.

* 14:00 restart
* 16:00 Mangapapa Campsite

* 19:00 dinner by myself.
rice, miso-soup. Not well cooked but OK.

* 19:40 still bright. Sun is on.

* Today's paddle. about 5 hours. Good job.

* 11:00 start kayak from Taumarunui

start with a south african family.
lost them soon.

* 14:00 Lunch

* 14:30 Ohinepane Camp site

* 16:10 landed on Poukaria
Today's camp site.

* Maps became wet.

* 20:40 in the Zert/Shelter. Not a comfort place to sleep.
Not so cold. No rain.

* There are about 20 people in 3-4 groups andat the camp site.
All looks active.
