We moved from a hotel in Dong-Hoi to a home at Son Trach Village.

Phong Nha Homestay:

The owner of the home is the man who discovered the world's biggest cave.

A nice room in front of a river.

Recommended in Lonely-planet.

800 Mr.Ko's car.

At market, I got some baguette (Banh mi) with egg and meat for lanch.

続ける人とあきらめる人

人には二種類いる。

(1)
何事も最後までやり通す。辛い事があっても，嫌な事があっても，我慢する。途中であきらめない。
とても楽しい事のために，多くの辛い事を我慢する。

コツコツを努力する。「継続は力なり」を実践できる。

先の先を考えて行動する。高い山を目指す。

自分の人生は自分できりひらく。

一流と呼ばれる人。

(2)
途中で投げ出す。努力しない。目先の事しか考えない。

言い訳を考えてやめてしまう。何でも人のせい，周りのせいにする。

楽な方を選ぶ。

(1)を目指して，中学，高校で一つ一つやっていけば，大人になってもより大きな事にやり遂げられる。
(1) の人生は，辛い事の連続だけど，とても楽しい事も必ずある。


中学校で，(2)のくせがつくと，いつまでたっても(1)を実行するのが，ますます大変になる。

(2)の人でも，今の日本では生きていける。ただし，つまらない人生だ。
(2)の人の周りにはだれも集まらない。
ネットの世界で知り合いができるかもしれないが，ネットは仮の世界。電源を切ればそれで終わり。

(1)の人は社会の中で役に立つから信頼される。
(2)の人は，役に立たない。したがって，信頼されない。人と働くことが難しい。

地震や戦争が起こったり，いざというときに役に立つのは，(1)の人だ。
(2)の人はほっとかれる。

君が(1)を目指すなら，僕は応援をする。(2)でもいいやというなら，応援しない。

自分で，どうやって(1)になったら良いか分からなければ，周りの大人を観察して，(1)と(2)の区別をしてみよう。

自分がこれまで，継続してやり遂げたことを思い出そう。少なくとも，小学校の６年間はやり通した。あのトレイルも最後まで歩き通した。

僕は，(1)を目指して生きてきた。

Goodbye Danang and go to Dong Hoi.

Day1 Go to Vietnam

day1, 2014ー08ー17 あざみ野，羽田空港，Hanoi, Danang

夏の旅行は家族会議で決める。今年は「バカンス」を求めてベトナムに決定。息子は小笠原に行きたいと不満のようだ。


600 タクシー
615 たまプラーザからバスで空港へ。
720 羽田空港、国際線ターミナル

時差は2時間　(ここからは、ベトナム時間)

機内食：カルビ焼肉、蕎麦

飛行機は、新型の787,色々と新機能があった。窓ガラスは電動で暗くなる。

1050 中国の広州辺りの上空
1145 75km to the Hanoi airport. 雲の下にベトナムの大地。
1200 Hanoi airport,

次のDanang行きのVietnum AirにCheck in。30分程度並んだ。

機内にノートを忘れた。空港の係員にお願いしたら直ぐに見つかった。ANAと空港の係員に感謝。

Aerocafeにて、休憩、豆ジュース(Che)とサンドイッチ。Che，甘くて美味しい。

1530 搭乗、1550 離陸
1700 Danang 到着。
タクシーでホテルへ。200,000vnd
Orange hotel到着。
ロビーで休憩。スイカジュース、ドラゴンフルーツ、甘いお茶などいろいろと「おもてなし」がうれしい。

1830 夕食を求めてホテルの外へ。

3人ともに腹一杯で満足しました。
とりあえず、無事に到着したので，ホテルに帰って早めに寝よう。

I have listen "Steve Jobs" in audio abridged version.

I could learn something from the life of Steve Jobs.

B. Russel wrote that you can have happy life if you produce or construct something as a life-long job.
Jobs have created several techno-items, Mac, iPod, iPhone, and so on.
Most of his creations have changed the ways how people enjoy daily life over the world.
He loves to innovate things and change people's life. Therefore his own life should be very happy.
He understand how people love iPhone commonly over the world.

He loves his products more than he loves other people especially in his early days.
This makes his life not perfect. But nobody can have a perfect happiness.

He strongly influenced many people, especially for their adventurous up-and-down lifes.
He also influenced me in some sense.
He loves simplicity, beauty, and totality. I also love these qualities.

There are not so many genius. He is one of tech geniuses of our age, along with Bill Gates, Google founders, and Facebook founder.

Which do you like among big IT companies ?
I like Apple, Google, and Amazon, rather than Micro Soft or Facebook.
All of these are founded in US, which means US has been strong in IT.
Maybe Mr. Son of SoftBank can be compared with them in Japan.

Then how can we enjoy life like Steve Jobs ?
First we may need to 'stay hungry and fool'.
Then we find intellectual fellows, start-up a company and innovate something new.
Surely we need a good fortune.
Maybe US provides environment exclusively better than any countries for this kind of big dream.

His life also tell that even one of the richest man on earth can not remove diseases and avoid decease. Life is not long.

He said he like to produce good products rather than get profits.
To make good ones, he believe that all hardwares and softwares are designed and controlled by Apple.
He tried to make Apple keep dominating techno-production even after his death.
As of 2014, Apple still keeps great. But nobody knows what will happen in 10 years.
I think it is difficult to keep current shares without a genius in Apple.
Apple may merge or be merged by other big companies like IBM, HP, Sharp, or some Chinese giants.

I like Gate rather than Jobs in person.
Because Gate with his wife have gave the world a lot of his money for better lives of many poor and young people and he tries to inform the world about health problems world wide.
Compared with him, Steve looks like not interested in lives of poor countries.

This is very good for English learning and listening.

今回の滞在では，研究所の知り合いの知り合いからアパートを借りた。

ボストンのホテルはとても高い。最低，200USD/1night。これではとても長い間の滞在はできない。
一日目は，Hostel Internationalに泊まった。4人部屋で70USD。

借りたアパート：
訪問先のHarvard/CfAから1ブロック，歩いて3-5分。近いといろいろと便利。仕事の途中で，マグカップを取りに帰ったり，昼寝に帰れる。
夜も安全に帰れる。地下鉄の駅，Harvardから歩いて20分くらい。バスもある。
1000 USD/10 days。

人間 「やりきる・・・・」 ことは とても大事です。

とある人生の先輩（ボーイスカウト関連)からのメール。2012-09。

「やりきる」　「なげだす」　は小学生から引きずります。
「やりきる」奴は中高大とやりきりますし、途中で投げ出す奴はいつも投げ出します。

継続は力なり

ちりも積もれば山となる。

どんな高い山でも一歩一歩登って行けば，いつか頂上にたどり着く。
どんな鈍い亀でも少しずつ進めば，ゴールにたどり着く。
何事も途中で抜けだしたり，中途半端は時間の無駄だ。
一度やると決めたら，最後までやり通す。

走るのに疲れたら，歩けば良い。
歩くのに疲れたら，休めば良い。
体の疲れは，休めば取れる。
自分のペースで，自分の道を進めば良い。

つまらないこともあるだろう。辛いこともあるだろう。
うまくいかないこともあるだろう。
人に負けることもあるだろう。
そういう事は，全て自分を鍛える「壁」だと思えば良い。
そういう壁を一つ一つ乗り越えて行く事が自分を成長させる。

なぜ，つまらない事をしてまで成長しないといけないのか？

人間以外の動物の生き方を見てみよう。生きていくのがどれだけ大変か。
何もしないと簡単に死んでしまう。動物は，弱肉強食の世界に生きている。
どんな動物もつまらないから，生きるのも止めようとは思わない。

人間は，他の動物とどう違うのか？
もしかしたら，他の動物より肉体的には弱いかもしれない。
でも人は，社会を作って，他の動物より優れた生き方を選び，手に入れた。

社会のおかげで，病気になっても，働く力が無くても生きていける。
社会が成り立っているのは，だれのおかげか。
救急車の運転手が，つまらないからといって，仕事を止めたらどうなるか？
警察官が，死ぬのが怖いから，仕事を止めたらどうなるか？
プロのサッカー選手が，懸命に戦わなければ，だれが見に行くか？
学校の先生が，部活の面倒を見てくれなかったら？
社会を作っているのは，一人一人の仕事。

中学生の仕事は，学校に行って体を作る事，仲間を作る事，自分の得意なことを探す事。
社会の中で働く力を作るのが学校。
「継続は力なり」ということを自分の体験で学ぶのが学校。

毎日，早起きする，
休みの日以外は，毎日，学校に行く。部活をする。
毎日，走る。英語を聞く。本を読む，新聞を読む。
友達を作る。ボーイスカウトに参加する。家の手伝いをする。部屋の掃除をする。
どれも，積み重ねで，いつか大きな経験として自分の体に残って行く。

止めたくなったら，
カブスカウトをやり通した事，
大人に交じって南島までカヤックで行って帰ってきた事，
を思い出そう。
小学六年生の夏に行った信越トレイル，毎日毎日，長い道のりだったけど，ゴールまで歩き通した。

朝は曇りだったけど，昼間から晴れた。

I failed to get a flight from Paris to Tokyo.
Thanks to this, I could enjoy a day in Paris.

Louvre museum is huge.
